The Wallowa Union Railroad boards in this unimproved field in Wallowa, Oregon. On our Easter brunch exursion Saturday, March 26, 2005 we saw elk, angus, a wild turkey, herons, kingfisher, canada geese, and the Easter Bunny, and had a delicious meal. The excursion train travels along the Wallowa branch line up to Joseph and down to Kimmel, which is just a siding in the roadless area of the Wallowa river.

Eagle Cap Excursion Train
Quiet, except for freeway noise. Clean, especially the bathrooms and showers. Green Lawns. Everything works. Friendly. Dogs OK, if they don't disturb. Busy. You'll probably want a reservation.
