Sunrise (track)

Sunrise Trail. 4.4 miles one way. 1100 feet elevation gain. More hikers use the east side of the trail, because the route is shorter with less elevation gain. (The east side of the trail is very busy on weekends.)

Description - Turn East-Northeast here to follow the Sunrise trail.

BIKE (waypoint)

Comment - N 128TH ST

Description - N 128th St just off of Via Linda, just North of Shea Blvd. Undeveloped trailhead with lots of roadside parking.

HIKE (waypoint)

Comment - SMALL PARKING LOT

Description - Small parking lot with room for about 15 cars where Via Linda turns into 145th Street. (Bicylists should start their rides on the other side of the trail to make room for hikers, and because this side is just too honking steep.)

SUMMIT (waypoint)

Comment - SUMMIT HIKE

Description - A short hike to the summit starts here. 1/4 mile with 300 feet of elevation gain.

SUNRISE (waypoint)

Comment - SUNRISE POINT

Description - Sunrise Point. Beautiful view of the Valley of the Sun.
